About holly & Her Practice

Holly grew up in Arkansas with strong family ties to the state of Alabama. She attended both The University of Alabama, where she was a Presidential Scholar and continued her studies at The University of Arkansas graduating with a BS degree in Microbiology. Immediately following completion of her undergraduate studies, Holly attended the University of Arkansas School of Law in Little Rock, Arkansas where she acquired her Juris Doctorate. During 2001 and 2002, Holly successfully passed the Alabama and Arkansas bar exams and the United States Patent Bar Exam.

Holly has nearly twenty years’ experience in complex business and intellectual property contracting matters. She worked with three different universities over the span of eighteen years. Most recently she enjoyed a fourteen year career at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she held roles of escalating authority regarding Intellectual Property (IP) licensing, startup business ventures, and federal compliance. Holly is familiar with trademarks, copyright and patent law.

She joined Walding LLC in April of 2019, Holly has leveraged her prior experience advising small businesses with corporate transactions, intellectual property strategy and protections, as well as licensing and commercial dealings. At Walding LLC, Holly has utilized her perspective to integrate her skills in all of the firm’s practice areas.  Additionally, Holly utilizes her business and IP backgrounds to focus on corporate law as well as commercial transactions.  In her spare time, Holly enjoys spending time with her family which includes her husband, Brandon, and two daughters.
